after almost a month of not being able to play touch, today has finally seen me on the field at bishan park II. woots. i'm pretty happy even though i didn't get to touch the ball as much as i'd like. today's game was pretty intense, with a good number of ex-ruggers. hopefully, next week there'll be more beginners turning up so that we can slow the game down a bit. heh. knackered man. think my knee is going to act up again. :(
just saw a mention of bubbles and i on yf's blog. i'm pretty happy! heh. can u imagine? like we've been following his blog since like uni and then we both get a chance to meet him in person, and now get mentioned in his blog. how cool is that?! heh.
despite the overload of endorphines today, i'm feeling pretty shitty. work-related stuff. bogging me down AGAIN. i honestly don't know if i still stay put and try and put up with things or should i leave? coupled with the bad economy and the fact that i'm kinda still searching for what i really want to do... it puts a HUGE damper on my mood. can't even start on my course due to work. sigh. really really shitty. more on that when i find out the details of what's going to happen next. but i'm pretty sure that i won't like the changes that are going to be implemented if confirmed.
i believe when you are finding it hard to place an employee into any particular dept, then i think it's time for him/her to leave. because it appears that none of the dept is a good fit for him/her. then what is the point in trying to push him/her into one dept or the other. results are going to be the same. he simply can't perform.
over the last week, i realised that i'm really not equipped to work onboard despite being with this company for 3 yrs. i mean, i don't have enough field knowledge/experience to be working effectively onboard. when i head onboard the vessel to implement the teletubby, basically i'm just sitting ard and doing nothing. just looking at the trainer train the crew. i'm not doing anything else. it's damn ineffective and inefficient for my performance. really. i feel so damn useless onboard. meanwhile, other office staff onboard have other job scope to perform while the trg is going on. but not me. and i want to learn other stuff. i don't just want to be sitting onboard 'supervising' the trainer training the crew, when the hours can be put into good use. i should not NEED to 'supervise' them, because the trainer should know how to handle them. so why do i get 脸色 when i say that i want to take a look at the hsqe briefing and stuff like that. i do not understand.
if it's written in my KPI besides teletubby, then shouldn't i be actively be taking steps to learn? and why do i have to go into batam the same amount of days as so-and-so, when honestly i can accomplish more in the office then having 2 persons in batam sitting ard 'supervising' the teletubby. if say i should be travelling more and stuff, i really don't mind going, but if it's going to be me sitting there while you go ard the vessels doing ur checks, then i'm sorry, it's really pointless for me. and still i get 脸色. maybe you think that i'm not proactive enough; with emails and stuff, or maybe you think that i'm not well versed in the system yet. but isn't it likewise?
so tired. and unhappy. well... 95% unhappy and 5% happy. if it can even be measured that way. fug.
